Licensed P & C Agent w/ Agriculture Experience Stuart Surles Insurance, in Angier NC, is an independent insurance agency serving North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware. SUMMARY OF EXPECTATIONS: The employee performing this position is responsible for sales, service and processing of new P&C accounts. Be well versed in all aspects of the company insurance products, especially agriculture insurance. Managing current accounts and growth of these books of business. By using excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products and programs of the agency. Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision. Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and management. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS/FUNCTIONS: P&C policies by checking renewals, processing changes, following up with payments, and running past-due reports. CSR that can handle agriculture, agricultural experience a plus. Sale and service P&C customers, assist with meeting all insurance deadlines. Supports management and staff through such duties as answering phones, filling, scanning and all other administrative duties as requested. Must be available for flexible work schedules as needed. Normal schedule is Monday - Friday with hours flexible between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some weekend work during peak seasons may be required. High school diploma, 4-year degree a plus Minimum one year of proven work experience, in an independent life and health insurance agency. Experience in agriculture and crop insurance a plus Valid NC Driver’s License Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Office applications, Excel, and office equipment. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: P&C Licenses required, Health and Life a plus.
