Security Guard

Job Description Job Title: Security Guard - 3pm - 11pm (rotating holidays and weekends)Job Summary: We are looking for a vigilant and dedicated Security Guard to join our team. The Security Guard will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong observational and communication skills while ensuring compliance with security protocols.Responsibilities:Surveillance and Monitoring:Conduct regular patrols of the premises to detect and deter suspicious activities.Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms to identify security threats.Access Control:Control access points, verify identification, and issue visitor passes.Enforce security policies related to entry and exit procedures.Emergency Response:Respond promptly to emergency situations, including alarms and medical emergencies.Coordinate with emergency services as needed.Incident Reporting:Document and report any security incidents, breaches, or unusual activities.Complete incident reports and provide detailed information to management.Customer Service:Provide excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and clients.Assist with inquiries and provide directions as needed.Security Checks:Conduct regular checks of equipment, doors, and windows to ensure they are secure.Report any maintenance issues or security vulnerabilities.Collaboration with Authorities:Work closely with law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary.Provide assistance during investigations if required.Training and Awareness:Stay informed about security best practices and company policies.Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills and knowledge.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Proven experience as a Security Guard or in a related field.Valid security guard license/certification (if required by local regulations).Strong observational and surveillance skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Physical fitness and the ability to stand for extended periods.Additional Requirements:Available to work rotating weekends and holidays.Understanding of emergency response procedures.Benefits:Competitive salaryHealth, dental, and vision insuranceLife InsuranceSupplemental Insurance (AFLAC)Paid time off and holidays3pm-11pm (rotating weekends and holidays)
