Software Engineer – SQL/Java Fullstack 100% remote - 6 month contractResponsibilities Participate in process flow analysis and process design along with the teamShare best practices and be consultative to clients throughout duration of the projectProduce a detailed functional design documentComplete and co/implement a configuration workbookProduce a technical specification for custom development and systems integration requirementsParticipate in training design, documentation and delivery efforts in concert with the Project/Development Manager Design and develop software based on business and functional requirements Debug, Deploy and Validate software Maintain as well as build new featuresParticipate in internal projects as requiredMentor and train team on new technologies (tools/frameworks) and best practices Occasional Travel to client sitesRequirements: Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.Minimum 7-12 years of hands-on experience developing enterprise applications across a range of domains, platforms and environments.Strong technical skills in UML, Java, J2EE, JSP, Spring/Hibernate, SOAP, Node JS, SQL and Relational Databases Minimum7-12 years of development experience with Java, SOA, JAX-WS, Spring-WS and Oracle DBMSMinimum 7-12 years of development experience with J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, STRUTS, JBoss, JBoss FuseMinimum 7-12 years of development experience with JSP, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, Node JSMinimum 7-12 years of development experience with Web servicesMinimum 7-12 years of development experience with XML, JSON, UI/UX, and JUnit Demonstrate experience with technologies like rules engine and dynamic forms builderDemonstrate experience with Cloud based implementation and optimization (AWS)Previous experience configuring and using any or all of the following highly desirable: JDBC, AJAX, Log4j, Ant, Subversion, Tomcat Proficiency on Linux, SVN, Github, Sonar and CI tools (Jenkins)Should have excellent Conceptualization, patterns, modeling, design skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skillsStrong hands-on technical skills in security and performance architectureShould have participated in, and be familiar with, SDLC and Agile (Scrum) project methodologiesExperience in architecting/developing Medicaid integrated eligibility related systems is a plusExperience designing SaaS/multi-tenant solutionsGood knowledge of MARS-e and MITA standards a plusEducation: Required Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field Preferred Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field Careers with Optum.What skills/attributes are preferred (what will set a candidate apart)?
