Maintenance TechnicianThe Maintenance Technician supports operations in a high-tech, highly automated warehouse environment by maintaining and troubleshooting robotic forklifts, palletizing arms, conveyor systems, and racking infrastructure. This role requires a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, comfort with automation technologies, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, technology-driven setting.ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on robotic forklifts, palletizing arms, conveyor systems, and racking infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime.Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and PLC-related issues across automated systems to quickly identify root causes and implement effective solutions.Monitor automated system performance, respond in real time to alerts or faults, and take appropriate corrective actions.Collaborate with remote support and engineering teams to resolve complex technical issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.Maintain accurate and detailed logs of maintenance activities, repairs, part replacements, and system updates.Support system upgrades, modifications, and new equipment installations as needed to enhance warehouse automation capabilities.Follow and promote safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and operational standards to maintain a safe work environment.Use touchscreens, computers, and mobile devices to interface with automation systems, document work, and communicate with team members.Assist with troubleshooting and repair of conveyor systems and other material handling equipment in a manufacturing and distribution setting.Contribute to a team-oriented culture by communicating clearly, sharing knowledge, and supporting training efforts for new technologies.Essential SkillsAt least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or similar environment in a mechanic, auto mechanic, or entry-level maintenance role.Hands-on experience with preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems.Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues on automated or production equipment.Comfort using touchscreens, computers, and mobile phones to operate, monitor, and document work on automated systems.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, communicate them clearly, and propose practical solutions.Reliable attendance and a consistent work history demonstrating dependability.Ability to work safely around automated equipment, conveyors, and robotics.Capability to work in varying temperature conditions ranging from 32F to 105F.Ability to work at heights up to approximately 45 feet and within confined or restrictive areas as needed for maintenance tasks.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or trade school education is preferred.Experience with automation, robotics, or robotic material handling systems is beneficial.Experience in manufacturing, production, or machine operation is advantageous.Experience with conveyor repair and maintenance is a plus.Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and documentation practices.Exposure to PLC-controlled systems and automated racking systems is an asset.Mechanical aptitude with the ability to repair and maintain a variety of equipment and components.Why Work Here?The organization is in a strong growth phase, delivering automation and robotic systems that are years ahead of much of the market and are in high demand across distribution. Robotic arms break down large pallets, restack individual products, and prepare them for shipment, while mobile robots navigate the racking system to retrieve products for outbound orders. Some racking reaches heights of up to 45 feet, and certain work areas are restrictive, with clearances as narrow as 24 inches. The environment offers protection from direct weather but not from temperature changes, and team members must be able to work in conditions ranging from approximately 32F to 105F. The setting is highly automated, fast paced, and technology-focused, with frequent interaction with robotic systems, conveyors, and computer-based interfaces.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tolleson, AZ.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
