Civil Construction Project Manager – DOTD & Municipal Infrastructure
Triumph Construction is seeking a motivated, detail-driven mid-level Civil Project Manager with 5–15 years experience managing public infrastructure or roadway projects. Ideal candidates must have hands-on experience with Louisiana DOTD and/or municipal (City of Baton Rouge / parish) civil work including storm drainage, sidewalks, ADA ramps, driveways, utilities, and roadway scopes.
You will oversee projects from preconstruction through close-out, working with inspectors, engineers, DOTD reps, municipal officials, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure projects are executed on schedule and within budget.
✅ Required Experience
5–15 years project management experience in civil / heavy civil construction
Proven experience managing:
DOTD roadway or municipal infrastructure projects
Public-works scopes (sidewalks, streets, drainage, ADA ramps, utilities)
Experience with:
DOTD or municipal specs & standards
Public contracting documentation
Submittals, inspection schedules, and compliance tracking
Cost control, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple job sites simultaneously
✅ Key Responsibilities
Manage DOTD and city/parish civil projects end-to-end
Build schedules, track progress, coordinate crews/subcontractors
Oversee public inspection and compliance requirements
Cost tracking, material procurement, and equipment scheduling
Communication with owners, engineers, DOTD inspectors & city officials
Maintain project documentation and close-out packages
Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation
Allocate resources for assigned projects
Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors
Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients
Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs
Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications
Qualifications:
Previous experience in construction management or other related fields
Familiarity with construction management software
Strong leadership qualities
Strong negotiation skills
Deadline and detail-oriented
Bachelor degree in construction Management is recommend but not required.
Must have at least 10 years of experience in estimating and managing Civil construction projects.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
