Project Accountant - REMOTE

About the Opportunity:The Project Accountant will provide end-to-end financial support for projects, ensuring accurate project setup, monitoring, and reporting. This role contributes to the organization by identifying potential financial issues early, supporting project managers with financial data, and ensuring revenue recognition aligns with policies. The position is remote, with a preference for candidates based in the Eastern or Central Time Zones.3. Responsibilities:• Perform project-level data analytics to monitor performance and report financial status• Identify potential project performance issues and notify the Regional Project Accounting Manager• Coordinate project setups with Project Managers according to contract terms and approval policies• Monitor and maintain project data in Oracle, including budget and funding updates• Provide monthly detailed project status reports to the Regional Project Accounting Manager• Participate in project performance reviews and offer financial insights• Support Project and Department Managers with financial information for proposals, budgets, audits, and special projects• Monitor receivables and assist Project Managers with collections• Identify invoicing issues and help develop corrective action plans for timely payments• Ensure project revenue recognition complies with company policies4. Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Accounting or Finance• 0-3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related role• Effective oral and written communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel• Preferred beginner-level experience with Oracle Project Accounting Modules or equivalent ERP systems• Ability to perform essential job duties with reasonable accommodations if needed5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:• The approximate compensation range for this position is $62,000 to $72,000, dependent on education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and work location6.
