The Quality Technician is responsible for assisting the Quality Manager with the timely, accurate, and thorough monitoring and reporting of processes throughout the value stream, assuring compliance with customer and Multi-Color Corporation (MCC) established standards and specifications with strict adherence to processes.Why work at MCC:Compensation: $22.00 hourlyGenerous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and 401(k)Paid Holidays: New Year's, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, plus two floating HolidaysJob Duties:Comply with all company and safety policies and proceduresAssist with equipment calibration and careResponsible for the approval of labels and processes prior to press runResponsible for the approval of roll end retains saved by press operatorsResponsible for assembling, filing, and updating color tolerance folders, color consistency files, pulling clear overlays prior to press run, etc.Collects and reviews rejected information as assigned by the Quality ManagerConduct data collection and analysis as requiredAssist in the management of the MCC Quality Management System, including document control as requiredPerform internal audits as a member of MCC's Internal Audit TeamParticipate in improvement initiatives and projectsParticipates in department meetings as scheduledResponsible for working overtime when needed and as assignedRelated duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:High school education or equivalent3 years+ experience; printing industry experience preferredThorough knowledge of quality assuranceAbility to read rulers and pass the color hue testExperience with Microsoft Office applications, including analytical abilities within ExcelStrong mathematical skillsDetail orientedAbility to stay focused and follow instructions for the duration of the shiftAbility to work independently and see tasks and projects through to completionWorks well in a team environment, is seen as a team playerProven verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of ISO 9001:2000 standards and ASQ Certifications are desired but not requiredThe physical demands require standing, using hands to feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear.This position requires frequent walking.
