The Supervisor ensures the teamprovides all necessary documentation, including set up sheets, toolinglists, fixtures, and verified NC code files, to aid efficientproduction. This role requires providing technical expertise forclarification and troubleshooting on the production floor, drivingcontinuous improvement to achieve the highest quality product withminimal variation and optimal efficiency.**Position Responsibilities** Design, write and optimize complex NC/CNC programs (G-code, M-code,etc.) for various multi axis machine tools (mills, lathes, routers)using advanced CAD/CVAM software (ex: Mastercam, SolidWorks, Fusion360). Analyze blueprints, engineering drawings, and specificationsincluding GD&T to determine the most efficient and accuratemachining methods. Perform machine simulations (ex: using Vericut) to verify programaccuracy, ensure collision prevention and estimate run times. Troubleshoot and resolve complex programming and machining issues onthe production floor to minimize equipment downtime and scrap. Assist in setting up and proving out new or modified programs on themachines. Oversee the selection, standardization, and management of cuttingtools, tool holders, and related equipment to optimize materialremoval rates and tool longevity. Coordinate and assist in the design and fabrication of specializedjigs, fixtures and work holding solutions. Establish, update and enforce manufacturing and programmingstandards and best practices across the department to minimizevariation. Identify, track and assist in the creation of Key PerformanceIndicators (KPIs) for the programming department. Expert ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings,specifications, and 3D models. Ability to operate, program, and adjust all machines that programsare written for. Comprehensive knowledge of different cutting tools, tool selection,and their correct utilization for each material and application. Proactive problem-solving skills focused on identifying andresolving manufacturing process issues early on. Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, high-pressure environmentwith multiple priorities and shifting time requirements. Complete understanding of Mastercam Programming software and theFunctions Provides training to end users on effective use of applications andprograms. Full understanding the financial impact of decisions made daily,including closely monitored non-value-added cost to reduce oreliminate.
