When you join the Dent team, you can take advantage of a variety of benefits:Work-Life Balance (no overnight shifts)Medical, Dental & Vision PlansLife Insurance401(k) Retirement PlanCritical Illness, Accident, & Legal PlansWellness ProgramLearning & Development OpportunitiesPaid Time OffPaid HolidaysFree Onsite Parking at All LocationsInfusion Center Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:45 am to 6:15 pm, and occasional Saturdays 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.Working Schedule: Full-Time 4, 10 hour days, occasional SaturdaysLocation: AmherstResponsibilities:Administer IV and injection medications as per written/verbal MD order and infusion policy.Coordinates and participates in a variety of patient care activities in the examination and treatment of patients to include infusion of IV medications including chemotherapy and MRI imaging materialPrepare IV medications inclusive of chemotherapy mixturesAssists MRI by providing oral sedation to patients as necessary.Coordinates scheduling with Infusion Secretary.Evaluate patient care with emphasis on patient response; monitors providers' plan of care from patient assessments, medical record and other record information; maintains liaison with physicians and practice administration to ensure efficient and effective patient care services.Contributes to patient care through patient and family education, distributing resource literature and community service recommendations and referrals as needed.May be required to assist with bio-hazard cleanup (i.e. restroom, waiting area, exam room) following universal precaution/kits.Required Education & Experience:Associates Degree in NursingActive NYS license, free and clear of restrictions1+ years of working experience as a Registered NurseSkills Necessary:Experience with starting IVsStrong telephone assessment skillsHigh degree of verbal communication and interpersonal skills to determine needs, provide information, instruct, and provide emotional support in a timely and efficient manner.Strong planning, problem solving, organization, verbal communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to address and resolve conflict in a professional mannerAbility to maintain strict confidentiality and follow all HIPAA guidelinesMust be flexible and professional in all interactions with patients, providers and all staffNeurology experience preferredPrevious high volume phone triage experience preferredGood computer skills and ability to learn EMR quickly, preferredCompensation:Most candidates will start within the first quartile of the pay rangeRates are commensurate with experienceEEO StatementDent Neurologic Institute offers an inclusive work environment built on kindness and respect for all.
