About:Full-time positionLocation: Jamaica, NY The Role:A skilled individual who can efficiently manage, process, and analyze payroll data. Payroll Analysts are responsible for ensuring that an organization's employees are paid accurately and on time. They analyze and coordinate payroll processes, maintain payroll records, and perform audits to ensure accuracy.Duties and Responsibilities:Payroll Analysts are responsible for ensuring that an organization's employees are paid accurately and on time. They analyze and coordinate payroll processes, maintain payroll records, and perform audits to ensure accuracy.Collecting and verifying timekeeping information for all employeesCalculating pay according to hours worked incorporating leaves and overtimeCalculating bonuses and commissions when applicableManaging and calculating taxes and deductionsInitiating periodical payments timely either by preparing and administering checks or making direct deposits through a bank payment systemIssuing statements and invoices and maintaining recordsUpdating paper and electronic payroll records by entering adjustments on pay rates, employee status changes etc.Dealing with complaints and questions regarding payroll from employees and upper managementInvestigating and resolving any discrepancies in payrollPreparing and submitting reports with payroll information to supervisorKeeping informed about changes in tax and deduction laws that apply to the payroll processCoordinating with Human Resources and Accounting teams Qualifications:Proven work experience as a Payroll Analyst or similar role in the HR department.Strong knowledge of labor legislation and payroll processes.Experience with payroll software and MS Office (especially Excel).Good math skills with the ability to spot numerical errors.Attention to detail and confidentiality.Strong organizational and time management skills.Proficiency in payroll systems and software to effectively manage payroll operations and ensure data accuracy.Strong analytical skills to examine payroll data, identify discrepancies, and implement appropriate corrections.Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills for maintaining precise payroll records and documents.Knowledge of payroll taxes, social security, and other deductions to ensure accurate calculations and adherence to local, state, and federal laws.Excellent numerical skills to manage large amounts of data and perform accurate calculations.Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with employees, management, and external agencies regarding payroll-related inquiries and issues.Problem-solving skills to identify, investigate, and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues promptly and efficiently.Proficiency in using Excel or similar software for data management and reporting.Strong understanding of employment law, tax regulations, and confidentiality principles related to payroll administration. Requirements:BS degree in Finance, HR, Accounting or relevant field.3-5 years of payroll processing.Must have experience with ADP Must Have:Proven experience managing complete payroll cycles accurately and on time.Hands-on experience using ADP for payroll execution, reporting, and issue resolution.Strong understanding of payroll taxes, statutory deductions, and labor laws.Ability to analyze payroll data, identify discrepancies, and resolve errors efficiently.Proficiency in Excel for payroll calculations, reconciliations, and reporting.
