Occupational TherapistExtended School Year 2026Burlington School District is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide supports in an inclusive summer school environment for students at risk and with disabilities. The Occupational Therapist will provide services in the classroom, in small groups, and individually as assigned.Job RequirementsLicensed Occupational TherapyEligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.Required QualificationsExperience in closely working with, providing direct instruction to students with disabilityExperience in communicating and maintaining positive relationships with parents and guardians of students with intensive needsExperience or ability in co-teaching with regular education teachersAbility to train and supervise para-educatorsAbility to commit to work all 5 program weeksExperience in working with ELL students who have language development needs desirableEvidence of building strong connections with students and familiesKnowledge of best practices in engaging and motivating students and managing student behaviors.Previous experience in Extended School Year programming is preferredDates and Position HoursEmployment Start Date: June 25, 2026In-Service Date: (TBD), 1 or 3 DaysProgram Dates: June 29, 2026 - July 30, 2026Work Hours: 8:30-12:30pm. Students attend 9-12pm.
