There may be opportunities for other shifts throughout the academic year.In this position you will receive, process, and distribute mail and packages. You will occasionally sell stamps, envelopes, and shipping supplies. You will help students and community members with returns by mail. You may be asked to assist the Print Center with finishing work like button making or order pick-up as needed.Transferable Skills You Will Develop: Career & Self-Development: Become aware of your strengths and areas for improvement. Navigate change and be open to learning new technologies and systems.Duties and Responsibilities: Transfer carts of mail and package from the loading docks to the mail roomProcess, label, organize student and staff/faculty packagesAssist customers with package pick-upCash handling and payment processingProvide professional customer service in a fast-paced environmentConfidential records management and regulatory compliance awareness (FERPA)Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills) Good interpersonal and verbal communication skillsAbility to lift/move up to 50 poundsPhysical and Environmental Factors:This position requires crouching, kneeling/crawling, stooping, twisting/pivoting, reaching overhead, grasping/handling, pushing/pulling, lifting and carrying objects up to 50 lbs., and driving to perform the essential functions. It also requires exposure to loud noise, as well as rare exposure to respiratory factors, chemicals, extreme cold/weather, and proximity hazards to perform the essential functions.
