Job Position:1st Shift Weekend Unarmed Security OfficerLocation: Hilton Head Island, SC 29926Pay Rate: $21.00/hrShift: First Shift 6am to 2pm (Sat - Sun) Must be willing to work overtime if asked.Description: Hospital / Medical CenterPosition Overview: We are seeking professional, dependable, and customer-focused Unarmed Security Officers to support a hospital/medical center environment. This role is essential in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming atmosphere for patients, visitors, staff, and vendors. Officers will work as part of a small, coordinated team, each assigned to individual posts while collaborating closely to ensure full facility coverage. Available Shifts:6:00 AM - 2:00 PM Key Responsibilities:Maintain a visible and professional security presence throughout the facility Monitor assigned posts, entrances, and common areas to ensure safety and security Provide excellent customer service by assisting patients, visitors, and staff as needed Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or policy violations Respond appropriately to incidents, alarms, and emergency situations Complete accurate and detailed incident reports and shift logs Enforce hospital policies and procedures in a calm, respectful manner Work collaboratively with a team of three to four officers, communicating effectively during each shift Qualifications & Skills:Customer service-oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills High attention to detail and strong observation skills Ability to remain calm, professional, and courteous in high-stress situations Team-oriented, with the ability to work independently at assigned posts Reliable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling Ability to walk, stand, and patrol for extended periods Prior security, healthcare, or customer service experience preferred (but not required) Must be up to date on required vaccinations for a healthcare environment, including Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), and Varicella (Chickenpox)Work Environment:This position is based in a hospital/medical center setting and requires professionalism, discretion, and compassion when interacting with patients and their families.
