Licensed Mental Health Clinician

A Licensed Mental Health Clinician provides clinical assessment, treatment, and care coordination for individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders in a structured residential environment. This role supports clients in early recovery, relapse prevention, and community reintegration, while ensuring compliance with Maryland COMAR regulations for ASAM Level 3.1 (low intensity) and 3.5 (high intensity) programs. Clinicians work as part of a multidisciplinary team (medical, psychiatric, peer support, and counseling staff), which is required staffing in Maryland residential SUD programs Duties: Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and ASAM level-of-care determinations Develop and update individualized treatment plans Provide individual, group, and family therapy Facilitate psychoeducation groups (relapse prevention, coping skills, trauma, etc.) Maintain clinical documentation and progress notes (required by MD regs) Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). SUD Residential Programming (3.1 & 3.5) Deliver or support: Low-intensity services (3.1): ~5 hrs/week focused on relapse prevention & reintegration High-intensity services (3.5): structured programming with 36+ hrs/week of therapy Monitor client engagement in daily therapeutic activities Address co-occurring mental health disorders Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent in the relevant state or jurisdiction. Licensure (Maryland) One of the following: LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor) LCSW-C (Licensed Certified Social Worker–Clinical) LCADC (Licensed Clinical Alcohol & Drug Counselor) Must be fully licensed or license-eligible in Maryland Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 – 20.0 per week Work Location: Hybrid remote in Baltimore, MD 21213
