Senior Backend Engineer (Go / Distributed Systems) | Remote Europe | Real System ownershipThis isn't a typical backend role. You'll design and own distributed systems end-to-end in a team where AI is already embedded in how engineers think, build, and ship. Tech-Stil is working exclusively with a PE-backed European SaaS company building a B2B SaaS platform used by companies developing life-impacting products. What you'll be doing:This role suits engineers operating at senior to staff level, comfortable owning systems, making architectural decisions and working with ambiguity. Build and scale backend services using microservices and DDDDesign clean, reliable APIs and own them through to productionMake real architectural decisions, not just implement ticketsOwn services in production, including performance, reliability and trade-offs.AI is core to how this team operates:Engineers actively use tools like Perplexity, Copilot or Cursor, and Claude day to day. This is about using AI to improve how you think and build, not just generate code.Stack:Go (strongly preferred)Open to other bank-end languages e.g Python, TypeScript would be advantageous.REST APIs, gRPC, Kafka or similar messagingPostgreSQL plus NoSQLDocker, Kubernetes, cloud (AWS / Azure / GCP)CI/CD, distributed tracing, observabilityWhat they're looking for7+ years backend experienceStrong system design and ownership mindsetExperience running services in productionOperating at senior to early staff level - you will not be expected to mentor or manage.
