This facility uses Goodyear retreads and uni-circle one piece treads. This facility also reconditions and powder coats commercial truck rims, and polishes aluminum commercial truck rims. The quality of the finished product we deliver is key to our success at Carolina Retreads.We are always looking for our next great Retread Technicians.Our Retread Technicians perform duties that include:Inspect tires to undergo retread process and determine overall conditionInspect casings inner liner with electronic detection and X-Ray inspection equipmentRepairs casings using industry standard repair techniques with correct size repair patchOperate buffing machine to remove existing treads from tires and measure tires widthSkive, buff, and fill any injury present in casing to industry standardsOperate cushion extruder to apply cushion to buffed casingOperate machinery to apply tread or UniCircle tread to casingApply envelope and curing rim apparatus to casing and leak test assembly to insure integrity of the curing envelopeLoad tires in curing chambers and cure tires according to manufacture specificationsRemove tires from chamber after cure and remove curing rims and envelopesInspect finished product to insure quality and compliance of customer standardsTrim and paint finished product and apply labelInspect finished retread utilizing multiple step high-pressure test to insure integrity of casingComfortably lift between 75-100lbsKeep Work Areas Clean, Organized and SafeReceive and unload supplies including tread rubber, cushion gum and repair materials, envelopes, curing rim, tire casings, rims etc.Work in wheel reconditioning processing area as assignedPerform routine inspection and maintenance on plant equipmentBenefitsFull time positions with the opportunity for overtimeCompetitive wagesOn the job and classroom trainingHealth and Dental BenefitsLife InsurancePaid Vacation / Holidays401(K) with Company MatchClosed SundaysOpportunity to grow, we promote from withinQualificationsUse all safety related PPE such as gloves, safety glasses and tire cages while doing any workAlthough not required, experience is a plusAbility to work in a fast paced and detail-oriented environmentAbility to document finding and work performed in detailAbility to communicate well with other TEAM membersBe personally responsible and self-motivatedHave a quality control/customer service focus Retread Facility - Clarkton
