This position gives you the ideal blend of healthcare & educational settings, clinicals & classrooms. We need your expertise & years of understanding the healthcare field to give our student's a leg up on being successful & securing employment, where they could be working beside you to save lives!Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited to:Manages and supervises students in all assigned classroom and laboratory activities to ensure a safe and effective learning environmentKeeps students informed and updated concerning course content, requirements, evaluation procedures and attendance requirementsEnsures each program/class contains essential curricular components, has appropriate content and pedagogy, and maintains currency. Maintains a high level of expertise in the subjects taught and stimulates enthusiasm for those subjectsEvaluates students to measure their progress toward the achievement of course outcomes/competenciesDevelops, revises, and/or recommends curriculum changes which meet the objectives of the course/program and improve student learningRequirementsEducation:Associates Degree in Nursing, required, Bachelor's degree preferred. (Willingness to start BSN within one year.)Preferred Qualification:One year experience working as a registered nurse, preferredMinimum five years' experience in nursing, nurse educator, nurse practitioner or experience in a related area, requiredMaintains current, unrestricted Kansas RN licenseObtains at own expense, yearly TB test and other immunizations or physical examinations as required by clinical sites.
