River Terrace Retirement Community is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing / Infection Prevention (RN or LPN) is for our skilled nursing facility in Bluffton, IN!
The Assistant Director of Nursing RN / Infection Preventionist is responsible for the overall organization of the nursing department, and for the prevention, investigation, monitoring and reporting of the spread of diseases in hospital.

Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the Nursing Service Department
Participate in interviewing and screening residents for admission to the facility
Review nurses’ notes to ensure proper documentation is maintained relating to resident’s treatment, medications, and conditions
Assist the Resident Assessment/Care Plan Coordinator in planning, scheduling, and revising the MDS, including the implementation of RAP’s and triggers.
Provides Orientation for all new Employees and ongoing training for all current Employees
Plans and schedules In-services with speakers from inside and outside Company
Maintains master Training Planner/Schedule for all departments
Ensures all required In-services are conducted annually
Maintains reports and Training Records of all training conducted
Qualifications
Registered Nurse or Licensed Practicle Nurse of this state
Over two years’ supervisory experience in a long-term care, hospital, or related facility
Must have knowledge of state and federal regulations
Experience with geriatric population preferred
Knowledgeable in the principles of infection prevention and public health nursing, with practical experience necessary
