Driver Class C

TITLE: Driver DEPARTMENT: Steel and Tools SUPERVISOR: Manager PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Loads merchandise for the days deliveries with the help of yard or warehouse personnel, ties down and safely loads the truck. Verifies that all pieces are included and that loaded items match paperwork. Greets customer at destination, customer is responsible for offloading the material. Verifies payment on COD customers before offloading the material. Maintains courteous attitude throughout the delivery. Make notes of any problems or discrepancies with delivery, informs supervisor of same. Keeps in contact with manager during the day on any delays/problems for assistance. Maintains vehicle daily per the safety check list and advises manager of any mechanical problems needing attention. Turns in paperwork to supervisor in prompt and neat manner, covering any discrepancies or problems/concerns. Assists in the warehouse/yard as necessary or when required. DAYS/HOURS: Monday thru Friday, Saturdays as required PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED: Heavy lifting, loading/unloading SPECIAL EQUIPMENT/REQUIREMENTS: Must maintain good driving record, forklift certification Driver License
