Corporate Controller
The Keller Group is partnering with a well-established organization to identify their next Corporate Controller. This is a broad-scope leadership seat that owns the full accounting operation across the organization and its affiliated entities — general ledger, billing and receivables, and payables — while partnering with senior leadership as the organization continues to scale.This role joins an amazing leader, offers a hybrid schedule (4 days in office/1 remote) and the runway for future growth opportunities.What you'll bring:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldCPA or MBA preferred5 + years in a financial leadership roleFamiliarity with nonprofit concepts, practices, and proceduresERP experience, with Workday a plus, plus strong MS Office skillsA genuinely analytical mind and real comfort working with dataA track record of developing and directing a team's workStrong communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilitySharp attention to detail, solid organization, and project management chopsThe core of the role:Serve as the organization's in-house GAAP authority — tracking new guidance and making sure the business moves with it.Stand up and maintain a dependable system of internal controls and segregation of duties, grounded in GAAP, OMB Circulars, and finance-department best practices.Own billing, collections, payables, receivables, and the month- and year-end close.Keep account reconciliations timely and accurate, backup included, so reporting deadlines and deliverables never slip.Write and maintain the accounting policies and procedures that keep every transaction documented under GAAP and applicable OMB Circulars and guidelines.Audit, oversight, and special projects:Run the full external audit cycle for the organization and its affiliates — financial and compliance audits, fiscal monitoring visits, and other state and federal reviews.Manage the relationships with external, bank, and state auditors, supplying accurate information on schedule and keeping Finance leadership in the loop.Lead integration efforts tied to mergers and acquisitions.Provide oversight of payroll and related activity as needed.Leading the team:Build a high-performing group grounded in strong controls and genuine customer service.Own performance management end to end — coaching, reviews, improvement plans, discipline — along with staffing, compensation, and developing your people.Help drive culture-change efforts and lead the organization through them.Maintain consistent in-person attendance, and take on other duties as they surface.
