Position: Finance and Cost Analyst - SAP S/4HANALocation: San Fernando, CAIndustry: Manufacturing (Food manufacturing is a plus)Pay rate: $38 - $45 an hourAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Financial & Cost Analyst to play a critical role in supporting our Finance organization through a 2.5-year SAP S/4HANA implementation, while maintaining operations within our legacy Microsoft Dynamics environment. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dual-system environment, has strong hands-on SAP expertise, and brings deep experience in manufacturing cost accounting and inventory management.Following the successful SAP implementation, this role is expected to transition into a permanent position within the Finance organization.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Accounting & ClosePrepare and review inventory and overhead-related journal entriesPerform inventory reconciliations, transaction reviews, and reserve analysisSupport month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activitiesEnsure data accuracy between SAP S/4HANA and Microsoft Dynamics during parallel operationsProduct Costing & PricingMaintain and analyze product costing and pricing modelsPerform standard cost updates, variance analysis, and margin reportingPartner with Operations and Supply Chain to identify cost drivers and improvementsInventory AccountingOversee inventory transactions, reserves, and adjustmentsAnalyze slow-moving, excess, and obsolete inventoryEnsure compliance with GAAP for inventory valuation and reportingSAP S/4HANA ImplementationServe as a Finance SME during SAP S/4HANA implementationParticipate in UAT, data validation, and system cutover activitiesSupport development of future-state finance and inventory processesDocument process flows and accounting proceduresReporting & AnalysisDevelop and maintain financial and operational reportsPerform variance analysis and deliver actionable insightsSupport leadership with reporting during system transitionRegulatory Compliance (TTB)Prepare and submit TTB drawback and excise tax claimsEnsure compliance with Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau regulationsSupport audits and regulatory inquiriesQualificationsRequiredBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance10+ years of accounting/finance experienceStrong experience in inventory accounting within a manufacturing environmentHands-on experience with SAP (S/4HANA preferred)Experience working in dual ERP environments (SAP + Microsoft Dynamics or similar)Advanced Excel skills:Pivot TablesVLOOKUP/XLOOKUPMacros and complex formulasPreferredExperience in food & beverage or regulated manufacturing industriesPrior involvement in SAP implementation or finance transformation projectsExperience with TTB compliance and reportingWhat We’re Looking ForStrong analytical mindset with attention to detailAbility to manage high-volume accounting work during system transformationEffective communicator who can work cross-functionallyComfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment
