Communicate bids and scopes of work.Reports to: Lead Estimator, Senior Estimator, or Preconstruction ManagerEssential Duties & Responsibilities*: In the areas assigned:Develop detailed estimates from concept through GMPIdentify scope gaps, risks, and value engineering opportunitiesCollaborate with design teams and key stakeholdersPresent estimates and assumptions to internal and external stakeholdersSupervise Assistant Estimators and Estimating Interns as assignedQualifications:Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years of construction estimating experience, or combination of education, training, or experience Understanding of major building systemsDesign-build experience a plusAbility to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project scheduleKnowledge of estimating documents and ability to provide accurate qualitative and quantitative analysis of documentsConceptual ability, able to work with minimum information and quickly develop understanding of owner/architect requirementsProject management of competing demands, and meet established deadlinesProfessional verbal and written communication skillsProficient computer skills and Microsoft Office suite of applications, and familiar with estimating softwarePhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
