They are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills.Summary:Under general supervision, negotiates, obtains and preserves right of way (ROW) and other property rights from public and private entities to allow for the installation and location of distribution, transmission, and gathering facilities. Provides local and state information and technical assistance in land use, permitting, zoning, smart growth, and regulatory issues. Creates and gives presentations and maintains positive and effective working relationships with various community, regional, state, federal, and advocacy groups.Essential Duties And Responsibilities:Performs technical research and analysis; prepares and evaluates reports related to land use, zoning, permits, and regulatory issues and projectsPrepares and delivers presentations to the public, advocacy groups, business community, and local, state, and federal officialsParticipates in technical and advisory committees, working groups, and task forces as appropriateMaintains current knowledge concerning local, state, and federal land use planning and development requirements and processesRepresents organization at meetingsOversees thorough and accurate title and property searches.Oversees negotiations internally with associates and externally with customers and governmental agencies. Reviews, produces, and obtains high quality easements, ROW documents, letters, and other written materials. Assisting with obtaining and preserving right of way (ROW) and other property rights from public and private entities to allow for the installation and location of distribution, transmission, and gathering facilities. Provides Land Service Supervisor with local and state information and technical assistance in land use, permitting, zoning, smart growth, and regulatory issues. Assist Land Service Agent II with the creation of presentations and maintaining a positive and effective working relationships with various community, regional, state, federal, and advocacy groups.Essential Duties And Responsibilities:Performs technical research and analysis; prepares and evaluates reports related to land use, zoning, permits, and regulatory issues and projectsProvide the necessary information and assist the Land Service Agent II and Land Service Supervisor with the preparation of presentations for the public, advocacy groups, business community, and local, state, and federal officialsAssist in securing easements and land access for utility projects.Act as a liaison between utility companies, landowners, contractors, and government agencies.Maintain accurate records of land transactions and agreements.Participates in technical and advisory committees, working groups, and task forces as appropriateMaintains current knowledge concerning local, state, and federal land use planning and development requirements and processesOversees thorough and accurate title and property searches.Reviews, produces, and obtains high quality easements, ROW documents, letters, and other written materials.
