Job Title Constituent Engagement Student Assistant (Summer) Department Alumni Relations Office Terms and Hours Approx. 20-29 hrs/wk Job Category Student Employment Hourly Wage Portland Metro Minimum Wage ($16.30) Job Summary Alumni & Family Engagement has a position open for undergraduate students. This position provides administrative support to our office and is a great opportunity to become a well-known member of the University community. Our office frequently interacts with alumni, donors, and other University VIPs. Administrative skills, ability to prioritize and work with deadlines, as well as strong computer skills are needed to be successful in this position. Students may be asked to work individual events which may be held evenings or on weekends. Student Assistant would work up to 29 hours per week during the summer (or 20 hours per week if enrolled in summer courses). Core Duties Provide administrative/clerical support including, updates to database, mailing, copying, answering phone, greeting guests, and campus errands Ability to take on a variety of projects from various staff members that may include mail merges, sending out mailings, and data entry Assist staff with special events that may include event preparation, event staffing, and post-event duties as assigned Ability to communicate in a professional manner with alumni and parents Driving 6 passenger golf cart to transport guests during department events Must be free for Alumni Weekend (June 25-28) Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications MS Office products Willingness to learn new things Valid driver's license Preferred Qualifications Outlook, Excel, and Word is a must Positive attitude Willing to be part of our team Willing to check in daily for extra projects/work Physical Requirements Lifting up to 40 pounds; golf cart driving Posting Detail Information Posting Number SE997-2023 Number of Vacancies 1 Estimated Start Date 05/11/2026 Open Date 03/25/2026 Close Date 05/04/2026
