You will be responsible for translating concepts into compelling visual products, including prototypes, wireframes, infographics, charts, and diagrams, to effectively convey both quantitative data and abstract ideas in print and digital formats.This is an exciting opportunity for a creative professional to apply human-centered design and design thinking principles to solve complex challenges and deliver visually engaging solutions. You will work closely with both internal teams and clients to understand their needs, develop intuitive information hierarchies, and create designs that support their goals.QualificationsBachelor of Arts in Graphic Design, UX Design, Visual Journalism, Visual Communications, or a related field10+ years of experience in graphic design or a related roleStrong expertise in information design, with a passion for creating visual stories and working with data to deliver impactful solutionsWell-versed in a variety of design areas (e.g., experience design, brand development, information design, graphic design) to propose and develop the best solutions for each projectHighly motivated to solve end-user challenges, meet stakeholder needs, and achieve business goalsExceptional organizational skills, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detailCapable of meeting deadlines and adapting to changing requirementsComfortable navigating ambiguity and able to lead clients and teams to clarity around requirementsA bias towards positivity, openness and supporting othersSecret clearance preferredResponsibilitiesVisual Design and Information ProductsDevelop high-quality, visually engaging deliverables such as infographics, charts, diagrams, wireframes, prototypes, dashboards, briefs and presentation visualsTranslate dense, technical or ambiguous information into structured, accessible and visually compelling formatsCreate visual systems, frameworks, and narratives that support strategy, research and decision makingProduce materials optimized for both print and digital environmentsHuman-Centered Design and Problem SolvingApply human-centered design principles to every stage of the design process, from understanding user needs to testing visual solutions. Collaborate closely with strategists, researchers, and subject-matter experts to ensure visuals reflect real user needs and client goalsIterate rapidly based on stakeholder feedback data insights and testingClient and Stakeholder CollaborationUnderstand client challenges and translate them into clear, tailored visual artifacts that drive clarity and alignmentWork with the strategist to engage with client to define goals, clarify requirements, gather inputs and present design solutionsWork efficiently under tight timelines and shifting prioritiesSupport the development of templates, visual standards, and repeatableWork ScheduleFull time, 40 hours per weekSome travel required to attend relevant events and conferences, and participate in LINK team eventsSalary: We’re committed to providing competitive compensation, including locality adjustments based on the Washington, DC area. The base salary range for this position is $93,000-$126,000.
