This is more than just a job - it's an opportunity to build the future of beverage distribution and grow with a company that truly cares about its people.OverviewThe Supplier Billing analyst is responsible for providing support to the Supplier Billing team with all analytical functions.Primary ResponsibilitiesReview payment posting and resolve mis-posting of payments through coordination with the Supplier Billing team, Shared Services Inventory Costing personnel or the divisionsCommunicate payment posting errors to the Supplier Billing Processing Supervisor for evaluation, correction and any training requiredRecommend process improvement to the Supplier Billing Supervisors for adoptionReconcile Grant accounts and Supplier Billing Payment Clearing accountReview and initiate the activation of new 888 funds as requested by the ProcessorsCompile special aging reports for weekly and monthly distributionReview Supplier Billing Master data information and provides feedbackResolve internal and external customer issues by returning/acknowledging phone calls and emails in a timely manner and providing responses and resolutions in a reasonable amount of timeCollaborate with other SSD financial departmentsPrepare special supplier analysis and other special projects as assigned.Maintain a thorough understanding of accounting business practices, terms and conceptsFlexible to adjust to changes in responsibilities, procedures, or working conditionsSupport internal and external audit activities, as required, to ensure that auditors are provided with the necessary information to complete their audits timelyProvide analysis and documents to internal counsel, as requestedPerform other duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business or equivalent work experience requiredMinimum two years' work experience in A/R is requiredExcellent communication skills (verbal & written)Strong analytical and interpersonal skillsWilling to initiate self-development activities to learn about Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits industryCritical nature of this job may require extended hoursPhysical DemandsPhysical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or mobile devicePhysical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stoopingMay require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbsEEO StatementSouthern Glazer's Wine and Spirits, an Affirmative Action/EEO employer, prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type and provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
