They will coordinate research activities and data collection efforts with collaborating scientists and laboratories; analyze, interpret, and summarize research data; prepare reports and manuscripts for publication. The selected individual will contribute to the development of innovative research methodologies and breeding strategies while mentoring students and research staff in molecular genetics, quantitative genetics, and plant breeding techniques.Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification In PositionEducation, interest and experience in agricultural engineering, plant sciences or a related discipline.Experience with agricultural machineries operation such as tractors, sprayers, planters etc as well as operating a drone for imaging analysis is preferred.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or CompetenciesAbility to work with sprayers and other precision Ag technologies,Ability to operate a drone, and have knowledge in programming language such as R or Phyton.Physical DemandsStandingLifting up to 50lbs.Enduring outside and/or greenhouse elements for extended periods of time.Travel to multiple locations as needed for job duties.Is this a Position of Trust?
