**Description****The Best Teams are Created and Maintained Here.****Job Summary**+ The Landscaper III provides skilled landscape maintenance for industrial, commercial, and public properties. Working independently, this role performs complex landscaping tasks, operates commercial-grade equipment safely, and ensures the proper care of plant materials and other landscape elements.**Duties and Responsibilities:**+ Proactively maintain site detail+ Lead and perform job duties when the Crew Leader is not on site+ Work with the Crew Leader to solve problems and overcome job and schedule challenges+ Complete punch list items without supervision+ Offer solutions to deliver quality results+ Cut turf using various-sized power mowers, trimming, and edging using a gas-powered edger/trimmer, and operating a gas-powered blower+ Prune shrubs and low trees as needed to improve the shape or growth habit or to remove damaged branches+ Identify irrigation system problems and work with the Crew Leader to correct+ Properly repair broken sprinkler heads+ Plant and maintain flower beds+ Operate the edger and line trimmer along sidewalks, flower beds, trees, buildings, fences, and other objects+ Pick up trash and blow leaves and other organic debris onto the turf before mowing.+ Mulch the leaves and organic matter when mowing.+ Perform weeding by hand or using a garden hoe or hula hoe+ Train team members on preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers; connect trucks and trailers safely and correctly+ Identify common weeds and recommend methods for control+ Coach and remind the team of the "Safety Topic" tailgate talk throughout the week/month+ Assist the Crew Leader/Production Manager in coaching team members+ Maintain a polite, friendly, responsive demeanor with guests and customers**Education and Experience:**+ At least 18 years old+ Enthusiastic and dependable+ Ability to safely work with equipment like power saws and cutters+ Certified on level 3 equipment (bed edger, chainsaw, power pole, pruner, leaf vacuum, skid steer)+ Certified to apply pesticides+ Has demonstrated 6 months of accident-free performance**Physical Demands/Requirements:**+ Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs. (mulch, fertilizer, etc.)+ Ability to load/unload burlaps with plant cuttings onto trailer (up to 50 lbs.)+ Be at least 18 years old (21 if operating company provided vehicles)+ Possess strong stamina and have the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions including extreme heat and cold.+ Able to safely operate landscaping equipment (e.g., mowers, trimmers, blowers, edgers).+ Able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, stand, walk continuously throughout the day and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.+ Able to perform manual labor using a variety of hand tools (e.g. shovels, rakes)+ You are able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (e.g., safety shoes, high-visibility clothing, hand protection, eye protection, hearing protection, head protection)+ Landscapers who will be operating a BrightView fleet vehicle are required to have a valid driver's license and meet company standards as it relates motor vehicle performance identified on a state issued motor vehicle record check.+ Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if needed.+ Ability to maintain, in your possession at all times, required medications to address any known allergic reactions should they occur.+ Must be able to gain access to Ft.
