Security Architect
Overview
In this role, you will shape and oversee an integrated security architecture to ensure compliance with applicable standards. You will collaborate with client security, architecture, and project teams to secure infrastructure and guide security controls across complex systems. You will contribute to security governance, review architectures, and stay ahead of evolving cloud security trends—particularly for government cloud environments. This opportunity lets you impact secure system-of-systems programs while supporting ongoing modernization and risk management.
ResponsibilitiesReview business requirements and proposed solution architectures for security implicationsContribute to the client's Security Architecture and align with security posture in SoS contextsParticipate in Architecture Review Board (ARB) activities within the security programIdentify Decennial infrastructure security controls for secure System of SystemsProvide security architecture expertise to TI Team and advise on cloud deployment trendsPlan and manage projects for selection, acquisition, development and installation of security systemsReview policies and SOPs; monitor program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement of IT securityMaintain knowledge of current and future security and cloud technologies, including government cloud environments
Key requirements14+ years of experience in IT Security Architectures, Information Assurance, and Security EngineeringIndustry-recognized security certifications (CISSP, CISA, SABSA SCF, Federal CIO)Cloud architectures and related security experienceAdvanced knowledge of deploying and maintaining large System of Systems in the cloudUnderstanding of IT management, admin, applications and SDLC in a large IT environmentExperience in tactical planning, IT initiatives management and handling in-house and contracted resourcesMaster’s Degree
