Litigation Attorney

Position Summary:We are seeking a dedicated Litigation Attorney licensed and in good standing with the State of Illinois to join our team. This role involves reviewing and executing legal documents, conducting legal research, and representing clients in foreclosure, eviction, and bankruptcy matters.Ideal candidates bring strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a high level of attention to detail. You will receive comprehensive training to support your success within the Default/Foreclosure practice area and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Review and sign legal documents and pleadingsDraft legal documents and conduct legal researchAppear in court for foreclosure, eviction, and bankruptcy mattersPerform additional duties as assigned by firm leadershipQualifications and Requirements:Default Litigation Experience:Active Illinois Bar license in good standingMinimum 3 years of creditor-side default litigation experience (Foreclosure, loan enforcement, eviction, and post-judgment proceedings)Courtroom & Motion Practice Proficiency:Experience handling contested hearings, trials, and dispositive motionsAbility to independently appear and advocate in state courtProcedural and Substantive Knowledge:Strong understanding of Illinois civil procedure and evidentiary rulesFamiliarity with statutes related to foreclosure, loss mitigation, and consumer defensesCase Management and Compliance:Ability to manage a high-volume caseloadConsistent compliance with client, court, and regulatory deadlines (Reporting, order submission, guideline adherence).Client Communication and Professional Judgment:Excellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience advising institutional clients on risk and strategySound professional judgment in fast-paced environmentsBenefits:Generous paid time off, including vacation and 8 paid holidaysMedical, Dental, and Vision insurance with company contribution for employees and dependentsLife Insurance, Short-Term Disability, and Employee Assistance Program401(k) with company matchProfessional development and growth opportunities
