The Seasonal Events & Game Day Coordinator will serve as a key operational leader throughout the summer, helping ensure that every event at MCCU Field is organized, energetic, fan-focused, and professionally executed.The position will work closely with front office leadership across operations, hospitality, marketing, ticketing, and community engagement, while also helping oversee seasonal interns and game day staff.This is a unique opportunity to gain real responsibility inside a growing sports and entertainment organization with potential long-term growth opportunities within Southpaw Ventures.Position OverviewThe Seasonal Events & Game Day Coordinator will support the planning, coordination, and execution of Battle Jacks home games, theme nights, concerts, sponsor activations, hospitality events, and community programming throughout the 2026 season.On game days, this role will help lead operational execution across the ballpark and serve as a central point of coordination between staff, interns, vendors, sponsors, and front office leadership. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and excited to help create memorable summer experiences for fans and partners.Primary ResponsibilitiesGame Day & Event ExecutionAssist in the execution of all Battle Jacks home games and special eventsCoordinate theme nights, giveaways, concerts, and fan engagement activationsHelp manage game day timelines, run-of-show documents, and operational communicationServe as a lead operational contact during games and eventsEnsure all event spaces, activation areas, and hospitality spaces are guest-ready and professionally executedAssist with setup, teardown, signage, inventory, and event logisticsSponsor Activations & HospitalityCoordinate sponsor activations and ensure partnership obligations are executed properlySupport corporate hospitality outings and premium group experiencesAssist with VIP experiences, special events, and community activationsWork collaboratively with sales and sponsorship teams to enhance the fan and partner experienceLeadership & Intern CoordinationHelp oversee and direct seasonal interns and game day staffAssist with staffing communication, assignments, and accountabilityServe as a visible leadership presence throughout games and eventsHelp create a positive, energetic, and professional workplace cultureEvent Operations & PlanningOrganize and maintain promotional inventory, giveaway items, event materials, and operational suppliesAssist in planning and evolving game day entertainment and fan experience initiativesCollaborate across departments to support organizational goals and operational executionSupport additional stadium and non-game day events as neededQualifications1-3 years of experience in sports, live events, hospitality, entertainment, or event operations preferredInternship experience in sports or entertainment will be consideredStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to multitask and thrive in high-energy environmentsPositive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to lead from the frontComfortable working nights, weekends, holidays, and all Battle Jacks home gamesAbility to work outdoors and assist with physical event setup when neededPassion for sports, entertainment, hospitality, and fan experienceWhat We're Looking ForWe are looking for someone who:Loves live events and creating memorable fan experiencesIs highly organized and solutions-orientedBrings positive energy and leadership to a team environmentWants hands-on experience across multiple areas of sports businessIs eager to grow within a fast-moving and evolving organizationCompensation & StructureSeasonal Full-Time Position (May-August)Compensation based on experiencePotential housing support availableOpportunity for long-term growth within Southpaw Ventures and affiliated organizationsAbout the Battle Creek Battle JacksThe Battle Creek Battle Jacks are a member of the Northwoods League and play at MCCU Field @ Bailey Park in Battle Creek, Michigan.
