Georgia State Pregnancy Counseling Manager

Location: Powder Springs, GAPosition Status: Full TimePosition Summary: Provides supervision and on-going support, consultation, direction, instruction and advice for the social work and case management staff assigned under the supervision of the State Casework Supervisor and/or State Director.Responsibilities:To be a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ to co-workers, clients and ministry partnersActively participates on the team in a manner aligned with scripture including, but not limited to, praying for and with other team members, sharing scripture in daily activities and leadership, modeling the character of Jesus Christ in interactions with team and any external clients, partners, vendors, etc.Disciples’ ministry partners and clients.Aligns team dynamics, internal & external processes, and final product of team’s work with Biblical principles and with Lifeline’s Core ValuesSupervises assists with recruitment, assessment, and file reviews for clients and familiesAdheres to excellent social service standards and practice in compliance with Lifeline’s Core Values and Ministry Goals through consistent support, training and developmentProvides individual and group supervision for state social work and case management staff and meets regularly with staff to review cases, identify risks, and develop case/service plans*Helps staff solve and manage challenges with the assessment processProvides support, consultation, direction and instruction for state social work and case management staff*Ensures new hire and on-going training requirements are met for all state social work and case management staff in order to meet agency, state, federal and Hague standards*Stays abreast of all state regulations and monitors services to ensure complianceGuides staff on assessing and evaluating families to ensure families are well equipped to care for children, if within the scope of assigned program(s)Provides case management supervision and guidance to pregnancy counseling staff who are serving women in unexpected pregnancies, if within the scope of assigned program(s)Reviews the completed adoptive family and/or birth parent file to evaluate that all required documents have been submitted and comply with date, content, and verification of reported information.Makes recommendations based on the review of the completed record for follow-upGives the final approval of the home study based on the review of the entire record, if within the scope of assigned program(s)Consults with the appropriate Leadership Team member on situations that merit further investigation or approval for actionProvides contracted supervision for assigned BSW’s and MSW’s requiring such supervision by the State Board of Social Work, if applicableContributes to the evaluation of state social work and case management staff during annual evaluations within assigned program(s)Reviews in-state applications for adoption upon submission to the agency, if within the scope of assigned program(s)Reviews and approves home studies conducted by unaccredited agencies which require a Certificate of Approval, if within the scope of assigned program(s)Carry caseload of pregnancy counseling, domestic, and/or international clients, as neededSenior Managers are responsible for adhering to state licensing regulations and all compliance requirements. In the absence of a senior manager, managers may be responsible for adhering to state regulations and all compliance requirements.The duties and responsibilities assigned to senior managers or managers above need to follow individual state licensing requirements Managers will supervise social services and staff within their assigned program(s)Other duties:Assisting in agency-related events, including the annual staff retreat, the annual dinner, anniversary celebrations, across all Lifeline programsMaintains good relationships with co-workers, including solving all disputes in a Biblically prescribed fashionRepresents the agency in a professional manner in and away from theEncourages and supports church engagement efforts, including live presence opportunities, adoption information meetings, and biblical teaching on caring for vulnerable children.If qualified by the state, conduct home studies, post placement/adoption reports or other related adoption services for families in your geographical area when necessary.Other duties as assigned by supervisor or member of the Executive teamAll roles at Lifeline are designed to function as a flexible, team-based position. While primary responsibilities are outlined, employees may be asked to support additional programs, service areas, or initiatives based on organizational needs, workload/caseload demands, and supervisor direction. Any additional duties will be consistent with the employee’s training, licensure, role classification, and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) status and will not fundamentally change the nature of the position.Minimum Requirements:Education: Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related human services field (whichever is required by State), required; Master’sdegree, preferredExperience: At least 2 years of work in child-placing environment, requiredLicensure: Licensed Social Worker, if offered by State, strongly preferredOther: Must lift at least 25lbs, must have reliable transportationWork Environment: Professional office environment unless allowed under Remote Worker Policy.APPLY TO LIFELINEPosted 04/23/2026
