Medical Scribe- ENT
The Medical Scribe provides outstanding support to physicians and healthcare providers. The Medical Scribe is responsible for real-time charting for physicians by shadowing them throughout their shifts and performing a variety of helpful tasks. The Scribe will be assigned a doctor or physician assistant to work alongside. The Scribe is in the room during each evaluation, documenting directly from the patient and provider conversation.Qualifications:Minimum EducationHigh School Diploma or GED (Required)Minimum Work Experience1 year of experience in a medical group practice or similar environment (Required) Or similar environmentRequired Skills/KnowledgeDemonstrated computer skills with data entry softwareUnderstanding of medical terminologyKnowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and Outlook)Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with both internal and external departmental contactsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailFunctional AccountabilitiesProvide support to physicians and healthcare providersAccompany clinician into patient exam areas for the purpose of accurately documenting the clinician's encounter with the patient as described by the clinician.Seek real-time clarification of all information entered into the medical record.Document diagnoses and symptoms as well as follow-up instructions and prescriptions as mentioned by the clinician.Document procedures performed and described by the clinician.Invoke the organization's approved scribe statement for each clinical note.
