Traffic Controller/ Flagger

Overview: We are seeking a skilled Traffic Controller/Flagger to join our team. As a Flagger, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient flow of traffic in construction zones and other areas where traffic control is required. This is a vital role in maintaining the safety of workers and the general public. Responsibilities: - Set up and maintain traffic control devices, such as cones, signs, and barricades, according to established guidelines - Direct traffic using hand signals or flags to ensure the safe movement of vehicles through construction zones - Communicate with construction crews and other personnel to coordinate traffic control activities - Monitor traffic flow and adjust control measures as needed to maintain safety and minimize congestion - Provide clear instructions to drivers regarding detours, lane closures, and other temporary changes to traffic patterns - Report any incidents or hazards to supervisors or appropriate authorities - Follow all safety protocols and regulations while performing traffic control duties Qualifications: - Previous experience as a Flagger or in a similar role is preferred but not required - Knowledge of traffic control procedures and regulations - Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions - Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with drivers, construction crews, and other personnel - Strong attention to detail and ability to remain focused in high-pressure situations - Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Skills: -Possess a strong understanding of traffic control operations and safety protocols. -Ability to stand in all environments for extended periods of time. -WA State Flagger Certified -Ability to follow instruction on-site from internal lead and/or customer foreman. -Punctual, Responsible, Self-Motivated Note: This position may require working outdoors in various weather conditions and may involve standing for extended periods of time.
