Insurance Defense Paralegal

Kennedys, a global law firm with offices throughout the US, seeks a full-time Paralegal with solid insurance litigation experience to join our team in our San Francisco Office. This is a really exciting opportunity for an ambitious paralegal to join a growing, global law firm. Key Responsibilities Draft pleadings and motions, including all trial and pretrial filings, for state and federal courts Draft discovery responses, including production of documents Subpoena documents (including medical records) from third parties Review and summarize answers to discovery Review and summarize documents, including medical records Draft medical chronologies Organize documents productions Prepare exhibits for motions, depositions and trials Coordinate expert appointments and assignments Research (Westlaw) and other online sources Perform jury verdict searches Electronic filing Required Skills and Experience An inquisitive mind, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills A thorough working knowledge of the Federal and California court systems 3-5+ years of litigation and insurance coverage experience Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-accredited program preferred or relevant years of experience. The annualized salary range for this role is $80,000-$100,000. However, this is contingent upon level of experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
