This opportunity seeks experienced Teachers of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing for summer extended school year (ESY) assignments within Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Positions offer contract roles focused on delivering specialized instruction to students with hearing impairments through both center-based and itinerant service models. The initiative aims to support meaningful student progress during the summer months in a variety of local school settings.Key Responsibilities:Provide instruction tailored to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, aligning with Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) standards.Deliver services in either itinerant or center-based models, depending on site and student needs.Collaborate with educational teams to develop and implement individualized learning plans.Participate in orientation and preparatory setup sessions prior to ESY start dates.Maintain professional licensure and adherence to all program policies and procedures.Qualifications and Experience:Current Pennsylvania Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing certification or credentials meeting PDE requirements.Experience working with students with moderate to severe hearing impairments and related behavioral needs.Ability to commit to full ESY schedule from June 29 through July 30, 2026, Monday through Thursday.Reliable transportation and residence within 35 minutes of assigned school or service location.Strong communication and organizational skills for effective collaboration and documentation.Comfort working in varied locations within lower and central Bucks County, PA.Location & Schedule:Positions based in multiple sites across Bucks County, with preference for placement near the candidate's residence when possible.Weekly hours vary by assignment from 12 to 24 hours.Student instructional hours generally run 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday.Benefits:Opportunity to impact student learning within a specialized educational setting.Gain valuable experience collaborating across diverse instructional sites.Supportive environment professional growth in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education.To apply, please submit your resume, proof of active licensure, and a professional supervisor reference.
