Millwright Foreman
Position Overview: The Millwright Foreman leads field crews performing heavy lifts, equipment setting, and machinery moving on industrial construction projects. This role is responsible for ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project plans, schedules, and customer requirements. You'll serve as the on-site leader for daily rigging operations, working closely with project teams, crane operators, and clients to coordinate work and drive results.Location: Eli Lilly project site in Lebanon, IN. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate for the duration of the project.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and lead rigging crews on heavy industrial projectsAssign daily work and coordinate manpower and equipmentConduct pre-task planning and ensure crews understand lift plans and proceduresOversee critical lifts, equipment setting, and specialized rigging operationsEnsure proper selection, inspection, and use of rigging equipmentCoordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and client representativesMaintain productivity while enforcing strict safety standardsTrack daily progress, manpower, and field issuesSafety & CompliancePromote a strong safety culture and enforce all safety requirementsLead daily safety meetings and hazard assessmentsEnsure PPE compliance and proper equipment inspectionsParticipate in incident reviews and continuous improvement efforts Required Qualifications5+ years of rigging or heavy industrial construction experiencePrior leadership or foreman experience preferredStrong knowledge of rigging practices, crane operations, and equipment settingAbility to read lift plans, drawings, and load chartsProven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Preferred QualificationsNCCCO Rigger and/or Signalperson certificationOSHA 30 certificationExperience with heavy industrial, refinery, or manufacturing projectsBackground in critical lifts or complex equipment installations Work EnvironmentIndustrial construction sites (manufacturing, power, refinery, etc.)Outdoor work with travel, overtime, and weekend work as neededPURPOSE - Barnhart is built on a strong foundation of serving others.
