Title: Offset Press Operator - Night ShiftLocation: Mount Pleasant, IAShift: 5 PM to 5 AM and 2,2,3 Rotations.SalaryCompetitive Pay!$5000 sign-on Bonus!Relocation Assistance!The Press Operator is responsible for operating and managing multiple pieces of state-of-the-art technology.Essential Functions And ResponsibilitiesSets up machine and maintain quality throughout run per individual jobChanges press plates, blankets and cylinders as neededCleans inks fountains, plates and changes units as neededRuns machine at optimal speed to meet production standardsPerforms adjustments on machine to ensure maximum productivityPerforms regular quality checks on all components to ensure quality standards are metRecalibrates equipment as requiredSets colorCommunicates job status and production concerns/issues during shift transition to ensure optimal productivity for following shiftNotifies Team Lead of quality issuesWorks with Team Lead to resolve concernsEnsures safety practices are followedTracks job counts, make readies, waste as instructed with accuracy and attention to detail.Spots defects in the print and correct to essential functions of the jobOther duties as assigned by SupervisorRequirementsPosition Qualifications:Required – High school diploma or GEDPrior offset printing background as press operator requiredAbility to read and interpret job instructionsAbility to work with both computers and mechanical systemsComfortable working in a team environmentAbility to monitor production equipment for speed and qualityAbility to perform the physical requirements of the job, including moving up to 10 pounds regularly and lifting to 45 pounds intermittentlyKnowledge of mechanical operations and processesBasic knowledge of postal guidelines for sorted mail preferred
