The Junior Supervisor will also actively contribute to other initiatives, including continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing productivity and reducing inventory.Job Responsibilities:In this function you will:Ensure adherence to all Client safety and security proceduresEnsure on-time delivery of customer shipments on a daily basisProvide support for training of freight and picking team membersSupervise receipt and storage of finished goods, utilizing space in the most efficient mannerDevelop and implement procedures to improve the accuracy and control of shipmentsDevelop and implement procedures to improve productivity in all distribution functionsMaintain records to control attendance, punctuality and work performanceEnsure proper housekeeping in all areas of responsibilityReview and maintain in-transit reports daily. Determine problem areas and implement solutions through exception management using systems.Work closely/directly with hourly team members on tasks and issues faced on a daily basisProduce and maintain CDC performance metricsCo-Lead DC efforts in the annual physical inventory and developing and maintain cycle counting programResearch and resolve problems using professional communication skills, with both internal and external customersPerform order processing tasks as necessaryActively participate in the maintenance of accurate inventory control recordsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree from an accredited institutionMinimum of one internship OR 3 months of experienceMust be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorshipMust be flexible- can work nights and weekends when neededPosition Criteria:Must have a distribution/manufacturing backgroundWorking knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems or ERP'sEffectively leverages functional and cross-functional resources to solve problems, improve processes and meet objectivesProven ability to lead and motivate a team of employees in a multi-tasking environmentSuperior organizational skills required to deal with multiple "high priority” dutiesPreferred Qualifications:1+ years manufacturing or distribution supervision experienceUnion experienceSAP experienceNotes:Swing Shift Jr. Supervisor-CDC / Distribution Center JR SupervisorShift hours: 8-5 Monday-Friday with occasional OT, some weekends and cover 1st (6:00am-2:30pm) and 2nd shift (2:30-11pm) when need be.
