Contract Specialist III – IT Software📍 Location: Houston, TX or Bartlesville, OK📅 Duration: 12-month contract (extension possible)🏢 Work Model: On-site during training period, then hybrid (1 day remote per week)Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Contract Specialist III to support procurement and contract management activities for IT software agreements. This role will be responsible for the solicitation, negotiation, award, and post-award administration of software contracts, while ensuring compliance with procurement policies and legal requirements.The ideal candidate will have strong experience negotiating complex IT software contracts, managing stakeholders, and supporting sourcing initiatives within a structured procurement environment.Key ResponsibilitiesManage solicitation, negotiation, award, and administration of IT software contractsExecute day-to-day procurement activities supporting the IT Software teamNegotiate various agreement types including:Master AgreementsStatements of Work (SOW)Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA)Proof of Concept (POC) agreementsProvide post-execution contract administrationSupport invoice resolution and contract complianceConduct RFP processes using approved sourcing toolsIdentify opportunities for process improvement to streamline contracting workflowsManage assigned contracts while maintaining high stakeholder engagementMitigate procurement risks and support efforts to reduce total cost of ownershipMaintain accurate contract documentation and records in accordance with retention policiesSupport internal and external audit activitiesPartner with legal teams to ensure compliance with contractual clauses and regulatory requirementsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree10+ years of experience negotiating and managing IT software contractsExperience negotiating agreements such as Master Agreements, SOWs, NDAs, and POCsStrong contract negotiation and stakeholder management skillsPreferred QualificationsProcurement experience within the energy industryExperience working with SAP and IcertisKnowledge of IT software procurement channels (OEMs, resellers, etc.)Strong analytical, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to influence stakeholders and support critical business decisions
