Surgery - General Physician

Coverage Needed Start Date: 07-06-2026 End Date: 6+ months from start Schedule: 2 Days Per Week Clinical Details Should be comfortable evaluating common surgical issues, reviewing imaging, managing wound care, and determining when patients need operative intervention off site Because no surgeries are performed in the prison clinic, the surgeon must be skilled in clinic based surgical assessment and able to work independently within correctional workflows Run on site general surgery clinics in facilities, seeing new consults and follow ups Duties include assessing surgical complaints, managing minor wound or post op issues, reviewing outside imaging or operative reports, adjusting treatment plans, and advising staff on triage and referral decisions for patients who may need hospital based procedures All care is outpatient and non procedural within the prison clinic space EMR: Epic Support staff: Nurse Patients per day: 10 Requirements Board certified general surgeon with strong outpatient and consultative experience
