Installation Technician
Job description
We are currently looking for qualified candidates with previous experience in structured cabling and/or low voltage installation. Installation and services include cabling, project management, hardware installation, and testing/commissioning.
Job Summary:
Our installation technicians install access control, CCTV, intrusion alarms, fire alarms and voice/data cabling and parts. Our line card includes hardware partners like Bosch, OpenEye, Acre, Edwards/Kidde, DMP and DSC just to name a few. So, you know you will be working with some of the most advance technology and most trusted names in the industry.
Job Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
-Cabling and installation of intrusion, fire, access control, CCTV, and other systems for proper hardware/software operation prior to customer acceptance.
-Performing functional testing on all installed field devices.
-Verifying operation of all related system programs and features.
-Assures maintenance of safe working conditions at job site and compliance with all industry and regulatory standards.
-Completes all necessary paperwork including checkout sheets, job journals, material requisitions, material repair forms, and time sheets.
-Responsible for all start-up activities and documentation on projects that are assigned to the start-up technician.
-Performs as-build changes to drawings and graphics.
-Performs start-up tasks efficiently and manages start-up on projects so that they are completed within budgeted hours.
-Performs service work as necessary.
-Performs other duties as assigned.
-Attendance is an essential job function.
Other Requirements:
-Positive attitude and ability to learn, we are an organization that is always learning and changing
-Must be able to read and understand blueprints
-Must be able to pass a background check.
-Minimum of two years experience in fire protection, security industry, or other construction related industry.
-High school diploma required,
-Have a desire for ongoing training, including NICET and ESA certifications. ESA and/or Nicet level 1 must be completed with the first year of employment.
-Must have a valid driver's license with a clean record.
-Must have excellent organizational and time management skills
-Must be proficient in computer skills.
OSHA 10/30, Lift training a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
