SummaryManage commercial ceiling installation projects from pre-construction through close-out as the primary point of contact for general contractors, building owners, and internal teams. Bonitz has divisions in SC, NC, GA, TN, VA, LA, and FL.Position Essential DutiesCommunicate at a high level with Bonitz team, Bonitz customers, vendors and any members of the project teamActs as single point of contact and holds responsibility for all aspects of installation projects, from inception to final close-out and invoicing.Plans, coordinates, and oversees all tasks, critical dates, client and third-party interface and relations, as well as performance quality and customer satisfaction.Manages General Contractor (GC) relationships, attends construction meetings, and coordinates with GC to maintain project schedule.Ability to plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of the specific project you are working on. Oversee field operations (manpower and installations) to guarantee the work is done per plans, project specifications, manufacturers standards, and completion schedule.Prepares and issues Installers work orders.Meets and exceeds all safety requirements.Manages, evaluates and coordinates payment Tiered-Subcontractors Pay, Schedules and Contracts. Manages the completion of Punch-list and issuance of the warranty and maintenance files to the GC.Ensure the appropriate profitability of each project.Coordinate multiple installation crews and maintain job schedules.Verify quality of installation, work performance, and work order completion.Job Responsibilities:Pre-ConstructionPartner with the Project Consultant and Estimator to assess ceiling scope, review construction and reflected ceiling plans, and determine materials, labor requirements, and project timelinesCoordinate material procurement with the Project Specialist and Warehouse, accounting for lead times on specialty ceiling components such as metal panels, wood systems, and custom bafflesReview contracts to understand expectations, change order processes, and contractual exclusionsNegotiate scheduling and payment terms with subcontractors performing ceiling installation workConstructionManage General Contractor relationships, attend construction meetings, and coordinate project schedules — particularly sequencing ceiling installation around MEP rough-in, fire suppression, and above-ceiling inspectionsConduct ongoing site visits to identify and document conditions including substrate readiness, HVAC status, and plenum accessOversee field operations to ensure ceiling systems are installed per plans, manufacturer specifications, and acoustical performance requirementsPrepare and issue installer work orders; manage installation methods and material usage against estimate sheetsDocument and process change orders to protect project profitabilityPerform required safety inspections and lead Toolbox Talks with crews on-siteHold regular internal meetings to update team members on project statusPost-ConstructionManages the completion of Punch-list and issuance of the warranty and maintenance files to the General Contractor Analyze design, construction, and cost trends on completed projects to identify potential areas of improvement and savings and ensure integration into future pre-construction processesTravelTravel to various project sites required. A monthly car allowance will be provided as a company benefit. As well as a company gas card.Potential overnight stays for projects may be required based on the travel distance and time spent on site.Education/Experience And Ideal Candidate QualificationsExperience in Commercial Ceilings Project Management2–5 years’ experience in commercial construction management, general contracting, or specialty trade project management — experience with ceiling systems, drywall, or interior finishesAbility to read and interpret construction plans, reflected ceiling plans, and acoustical specificationsStrong organizational and communication skills with a proactive, detail-oriented mindsetProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with D365 is a plusValid driver’s license for regular job site visitsCritical thinking skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslySafety RequirementsSafety Inspection(s) on all jobsite Lead Toolbox Talks with crews onsite.
