South Carolina Licensed Clinical Documentation Specialist conducts reviews of inpatient electronic medical records to ensure accurate documentation and DRG assignment, working full-time under general supervision. Key ResponsibilitiesReview inpatient electronic medical records to identify and address missing or incomplete diagnoses Collaborate with providers to ensure accurate documentation reflecting patient severity and risk of mortality Participate in quality improvement meetings and educational opportunities related to clinical documentation integrityRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing Minimum of five years clinical nursing experience preferred Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or compact state Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross Strong clinical experience and critical thinking skills
