Aircraft Mechanic II

Job description: Position Overview Seeking highly skilledAircraft Mechanic II (Avionics/Electrical OR Hydraulics/Pneumatics)personnel to support depot-level maintenance, modifications, and operational checks onMHU-196 and MHU-204 heavy munitions trailers . Work is performed under Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs) in support of the Combat Readiness Directorate (AFLCMC/ROZ). Period of Performance: May 29, 2026 September 29, 2027 Responsibilities Perform scheduled/unscheduled maintenance Execute TCTOs (TO 35D3-29 series) Troubleshoot electrical systems Conduct inspections & operational checks Maintain documentation and tool controlAvionics/Electrical Qualifications Minimum 4 years aircraft maintenance experience At least 2 years hands-on avionics/electrical experience Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and replace electrical components and wiring Experience reading and interpreting: Wiring diagrams Blueprints Technical manuals / schematics Knowledge of aircraft electrical systems, test equipment, and maintenance practices Experience with electrical connectors, terminations, and system operational checks Familiarity with Air Force Technical Orders (TOs) and TCTOs preferred Ability to document maintenance actions and maintain records Normal color vision (per AFI 48-123) Ability to travel (TDY) as requiredHydraulics/Pneumatics Qualifications Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience, including 1 year in hydraulics Experience repairing and maintaining hydraulic systems on aircraft or support equipment Interpret engineering drawings and specifications Perform system assembly, repair, and operational checks Conduct hydraulic system bleeding and testing Knowledge of pressurized fluid systems and safe handling of hazardous materials Normal color vision requiredWork Locations & Travel Primary duty location will be specified at time of hire.
