Our CompanyRehab in MotionOverviewRehab In Motion is expanding in New Smryna Beach, FLWho we are looking for:An experienced SLP, enthusiastic about empowering clients with strength & independenceYou are familiar with Independent Living, Assisted Living, Geriatric and/or Outpatient settingsYou value flexibility, autonomy and providing personalized one-on-one careWhat you will receive:Flexible Hours- Create your own scheduleClinical AutonomyProvide 1:1 Patient CareCompetitive PayProfessional Growth OpportunitiesSupportive Leadership & Team EnvironmentResponsibilitiesWhat you will do: Responsibilities listed include but not limited to:Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans of patients with speech, language, cognitive and swallowing disordersRegularly re-assess effectiveness of treatment plans, attend staffing meetings and family conferencesPerform discharge evaluations, make appropriate recommendations for safety, and provide referral and education resourcesCommunicate patient's needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, person receiving services and family membersCommunicates with other disciplines to ensure collaboration, coordination of care and enhance patient outcomesQualificationsWhat you will need:Minimum of a Master's Degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology programValid Speech Language Pathology license in the state(s) of practiceCurrent Live CPR CertificationTwo-step TB skin test requiredProof of Auto InsuranceA minimum of one year's work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist preferredDemonstrates knowledge of evidenced based therapy interventionsFamiliarity with assisted living, independent living, geriatrics and/or home healthCommunicates effectively and professionally in verbal and written interactionsAbility to lift 50 poundsMoving, lifting, or transferring of patients which may involve lifting of up to 100 pounds following safety proceduresDuties require fine motor skills,visual acuity, and walking/ standing for extended periodsAdditional physical requirements include:pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently at timesA health screen or examination may be required prior to assignment and periodically thereafter, depending on specific location policy, local and state regulations to verify employee is physically capable of performing assigned duties with or without reasonable accommodationsAbout our Line of BusinessRehab in Motion, an affiliate of Rehab Without Walls, is devoted to elevating the physical and emotional wellbeing of older adults through physical, occupational and speech therapies.
