Production Associate (1st Shift)Location: Oneonta, NY Pay: $16.00 / hour Job Type: Contract Temporary Hours: 7:00a to 3:30p and will move to 10-hour shift in July to 6:00a to 4:30p M-F Join a Global Leader in Luxury Packaging Our client is a premier, family-led manufacturer of high-end paperboard packaging for international fragrance, skincare, and spirits brands. We offer a dynamic, team-oriented environment.The RoleAs a Production Associate, you are the final touch on products destined for the global stage. You will work in a high-energy environment, specializing in the assembly of custom, sustainable packaging. This role requires a blend of manual dexterity, a keen eye for aesthetics, and a commitment to safety and quality.Key ResponsibilitiesHand-assemble premium packaging components including folding, gluing, ironing, pressing, and fulfilling.Prepare work areas by organizing tools (jigs, tape, hand tools) and transferring materials to the correct production lines.Polybag and pack-out finished goods into corrugated shippers for transport.Efficiently assist in "changeovers" by clearing areas, wiping tables, and managing leftover materials after job completion.QualityAct as a guardian of the brand by assessing all components for blemishes or quality failures. Communicate clearly and immediately with Operators, Quality Leads, and Supervisors when defects are identified. Maintain a deep understanding of the companys Quality Policy.Safety & OrganizationMaintain a pristine workspace, sweeping debris, clearing aisles, and organizing shelving. Proactively identify and report any unsafe conditions to the Leadership Team.
