Job Title: Quality Food Safety Team LeaderLocation: Richmond, Indiana (Onsite)Employment Type: Full-TimeThe Quality Food Safety Team Leader is responsible for leading plant-level food safety and quality initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. This role will oversee food safety programs, sanitation processes, and quality systems while driving continuous improvement and maintaining high product standards.The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in food safety, strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesFood Safety & ComplianceLead execution and documentation of the Plant Food Safety ProgramEnsure compliance with HACCP, CCP, FDA, and product release requirementsManage pest control and sanitation programsOversee foreign material control and CAPA processesQuality Systems & AuditsConduct internal GMP and quality system auditsSupport external and regulatory audits (FDA, USDA, AIB, State)Ensure adherence to corporate and plant quality SOPsIdentify and implement improvements to quality systems and processesMicrobiology & TestingManage microbial sampling plans and environmental monitoring programsEnsure compliance with swabbing, testing, and microbiological standardsContinuous ImprovementDrive quality and food safety improvements across operationsAnalyze data and trends to identify risks and corrective actionsEnhance product quality, safety, and operational efficiencyTraining & ReportingProvide food safety training to plant operations teamsTrack, measure, and report plant quality KPIsMaintain accurate documentation and reporting standardsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Biology, Food Science, or related field (or Bachelor's + 3 years of additional food safety experience)Minimum 3+ years of food safety experience in manufacturingExperience managing sanitation and cleaning programsStrong understanding of HACCP, GMP, and regulatory compliancePreferred Qualifications3+ years of supervisory or team leadership experienceCertifications: PCQI, HACCP, SQFExperience with data tools (Domo, Smartsheets, Minitab)Experience with SAP or similar ERP systemsBackground in microbiology or Client manufacturingStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsWork EnvironmentOnsite role in a manufacturing facilityFlexible schedule required (including occasional weekends)Fast-paced production environment
