Sales Director
Responsibilities
Provides leadership, motivation and encouragement to the sales team and ensures quotas are met.
Provide oversight, coaching, and performance management for sales team members
Reviews and analyzes sales and operational records and reports.
Use data to project sales, determine profitability and targets and identify potential sales markets.
Identifies and analyzes customer preferences to properly direct sales efforts.
Assigns territories, sets quotas, and supports each sales representative in each territory.
Consults with potential customers to understand their needs; identifies and suggests equipment, products or services that will meet the customer's needs.
Resolves customer complaints, staffing problems, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations.
Collaborates with executive leadership to develop sales quotas and strategies.
Prepares sales budget; monitors and improves expenses
Acts as company representative at trade association meetings.
Some travel is required to sales territories, to conduct face to face meetings with customers, trade shows, conferences, and industry events as well as to support sales team members and drive market growth.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Responsible for managing, motivating and encouraging sales representatives and staff
Responsible for conducting training and scheduling up-training using a proven sales system.
Organizes and oversees the schedules, territories, and performance of sales representatives
Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
The Sales Director will drive company revenue by overseeing and developing strategic sales plans, leading the sales team, and managing key client relationships in a Business-to-Business market. They are responsible for setting quotas, forecasting sales, analyzing market trends, and collaborating with senior leadership to achieve financial goals. The Sales Director will oversee and travel to each of four sales territories with a focus on driving revenue growth, implementing consistent strategies across sites, and mentoring FPC's local Sales Representatives.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Administration, Marketing, a related field , OR comparable record of sales leadership experience
5+ years of sales experience
5-10+ years of leadership in managerial or director role across multiple sites or territories.
Self-motivated with a demonstrated track record of exceeding sales targets and driving business growth
Experience in B2B sales, enterprise sales, or industry-specific sales.
Data-driven mindset with experience in sales analytics tools and CRM software.
Experience in managing sales operations, sales forecasting, and contract negotiations.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop sales teams.
