Reporting directly to the Regional Vice President, the Area Manager serves as the primary execution and decision making layer between Branch Managers and regional leadership.This role is focused heavily on operational execution, consistency, and accountability, while also developing and coaching Branch Managers. The Area Manager is expected to spend the majority of their time in the field, working alongside branch teams to drive safety, utilization, financial performance, and customer satisfaction.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership and Execution (30%)Own day-to-day operational consistency and performance across assigned branchesEnsure consistent execution of Ironclad operating standardsIdentify operational gaps and drive corrective action quicklyServe as the primary escalation point for Branch ManagersMake timely decisions to keep operations moving without unnecessary escalationSafety and Compliance (10%)Drive a strong safety culture across all assigned branchesEnsure compliance with DOT, environmental, and company safety standardsPartner with Safety and Fleet teams to address incidents, audits, and risk areasHold Branch Managers accountable for safe operations and practicesFinancial and Asset Performance (20%)Own branch level performance across safety, EBITDA, utilization, and operating costsMonitor equipment utilization, fleet condition, and asset careApprove maintenance and repair decisions within established guidelinesPartner with Fleet and Operations to improve asset uptime and readinessPeople Leadership and Development (20%Coach and develop Branch Managers through regular field engagementSupport hiring, performance management, and disciplinary actionsIdentify and develop future leaders within branchesCreate consistency in expectations, accountability, and leadership behaviorsCustomer and Service Excellence (15%)Support resolution of escalated customer issuesEnsure branches deliver reliable, high quality servicePartner with Sales and Operations to protect and grow customer relationshipsRegional Partnership (5%)Partner closely with the Regional Vice President to execute regional prioritiesProvide field level insight to support strategic planningEscalate issues appropriately based on defined criteriaSupport regional initiatives and change management effortsQualificationsQualifications:7 or more years of experience in operations, branch management, or field leadershipPrior experience managing or supporting multiple locations preferredStrong understanding of safety, compliance, and asset based operationsDemonstrated ability to make operational decisions and hold teams accountableExperience coaching and developing frontline and mid level leadersStrong problem solving, communication, and execution skillsWillingness to travel extensively within the assigned area, approximately 70 to 80 percentInternal candidates with strong performance and leadership potential strongly encouragedWhy Join UsCompetitive salary and benefits packageOpportunity for career growth and developmentHands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive work environmentBe part of a company committed to environmental sustainability and innovationAt Ironclad Environmental Solutions, you can build a rewarding career and provide exceptional service in the process.
